Some thoughts about Darker Than Black 2

So it’s been 3 episodes and so far I’d say that “DTB is as good as ever”. The pace is moving fast, not a single waste moment, Hei is as charming as ever and the action is great. I’ve fallen in love all over again with Hei!

Overall, I’m happy with DTB2 so far.

Only if Sou wasn’t there… Admittedly, I’m never fond of little girls below 15 years old. Yin was okay mainly because she’s not a emo kid. But can they just not throw in a crying screaming naive little girl who would acuses the main character for everything that happens to her? And to the uttermost cliché, she awakens when she reaches the bottom of despair (WTF?). But thankfully now that she has awaken and become a contractor, I hope that no more screaming and crying of Sou.

That’s why I hate kids… especially little girls…

  1. But you were one once. O_O

Hei’s now most likely clinically depressed alcoholic. Apparently lost his ability when Suou gained hers.

Only question is whether she’s a full 100% contractor. Still sheds tears and has the capacity to act emo and talk about feelings.

  2. Nah, I wasn’t really a “girly” kid and I was quite collected and well-behaved so I really can’t stand the hype type.

I think Hei lost his power a bit earlier when the force field (or whatever field it was) was inflicted on him and interact with Suou’s Meteor.

And of course I don’t think Suou is 100% normal contractor (Hei isn’t anyway).

And it looks kinda dumb now that they reuse the animation where the rifle emerge from the meteor shard. That has a very big “Sailor Moon Transformation” vibe for me.
